Rough Terrain Compact Crane
A rough terrain crane has a boom mounted on an undercarriage atop four rubber tires that is designed for off-road pick-and-carry operations. Outriggers are used to level and stabilize the crane for hoisting.
These telescopic cranes are single-engine machines, with the same engine powering the undercarriage and the crane, similar to a crawler crane. The engine is usually mounted in the undercarriage rather than in the upper, as with crawler crane. The product has four sections of quadrangular great circle main doom, H-type outrigger as well as combined self-removal and installation counterweight. It has three types of operation models such as operation with the support of outrigger, operation with the support of tire and hanging when driving. It is widely used in oil field, mine, road and bridge construction, warehousing base and other construction sites.
Front axle is connected with frame rigidly; swing, rigidly lockable hydraulic suspension is used for rear axle. The shock absorption function of rear suspension may be performed through the swing mechanism and suspension cylinder when driving on roads, consequently road shock is buffered and travel smoothness is improved; the rear suspension cylinder may be locked to rigid state so as to meet the requirement for travel with a load suspended.
Full hydraulic electro-proportional multi-mode steering: front axle independent steering, small turning radius steering, crab walk steering and rear axle independent steering are available.
Switch over of wheel turning direction: when the vehicle is driving while the turntable is turned over 90°, the control system will send a signal through the position sensor fitted on the turntable for controlling the hydraulic change valve between the steering wheel and the change cylinder of front axle. And then the vehicle drives in reverse direction, and the rotating direction of the steering wheel is the same as that for forward driving, which fits operator’s operating habit.
Service brake: double-circuit full-hydraulic disc brake, acting on all wheels; when the pressure in braking system is too low, automatically braking function works.
Four-point supported outriggers, electrical control and hydraulic operating, one-stage telescoping manner is used for outrigger beams.
The main boom includes one base boom and four-telescoping section, is made of high strength structural steel, with quadrilateral cross section. Anti-torsion design is adopted. Good stability in the lifting operation is available. Double-cylinder plus ropes telescoping mechanism is for synchronous plus sequential telescoping. Eight pulleys on boom head are standard.
